Gujarat Cop Caught Allegedly Taking Bribe to Restart Liquor Trade

An assistant police officer in Gujarat was accused of asking for money from a man involved in selling illegal liquor.

The officer allegedly wanted Rs 10,000 to let the man restart the business.

After negotiations, the amount was allegedly reduced to Rs 5,000.

The man did not want to pay and contacted the Anti-Corruption Bureau.

The bureau organized a trap to catch the officer.

Officials said the officer accepted the money near a village in Amreli district.

They then caught him and recovered the alleged bribe.

These are allegations made by the Anti-Corruption Bureau, and the case will proceed through the legal process.
