Delhi-Gurugram Commute: New High-Speed Corridor Planned
Imagine a super-fast road is being planned to make the drive from Delhi to Gurugram much quicker!
Right now, it takes about an hour, but the new plan aims to cut that time in half.
The government is looking at two main ideas: one is a brand-new road starting from Talkatora Stadium, and another is a road that goes up in the air or underground, connecting to a bypass.
They also have other roads being built to help.
The goal is to make it easier and faster for people to travel between the two cities, avoiding traffic jams.
Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari proposed a high-speed corridor to reduce Delhi-Gurugram commute time.
The plan aims to cut the current one-hour commute to 20-30 minutes.
One proposal involves a new route from Talkatora Stadium or Gyarah Murti.
Another option is an elevated or underground road from Delhi-Meerut Expressway to AIIMS-Mahipalpur Bypass.
The Dwarka Expressway and Urban Extension Road-II are alternative routes under development.
