Supriya Sule seeks closure of liquor shop near Hinjawadi school
A politician named Supriya Sule is worried about a new liquor shop.
The shop is called Wine Club.
It is being opened near a school called Blue Ridge Public School.
The school is in a place called Hinjawadi.
Many families live in that area.
Sule thinks a liquor shop so close to a school is a bad idea.
She says it could be unsafe for children and other people.
She also says the shop did not get the right permissions.
She has asked the district collector and the excise department to check.
She wants the shop to be closed immediately.
Baramati MP Supriya Sule urged Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi and the Maharashtra State Excise Department to act against a liquor shop near Blue Ridge Public School in Hinjawadi.
The shop, named 'Wine Club', is reportedly coming up in The Groves Housing Society inside Blue Ridge Township.
Sule called the shop's location in a densely populated residential area close to a school 'completely wrong and deeply concerning'.
She claimed the mandatory No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the housing society and the local Gram Sabha had not been obtained.
Sule sought a thorough investigation and immediate orders to shut the shop, citing safety concerns for schoolchildren, women, senior citizens and residents.
