Karnataka Plans Mandapam, Tourism Policy and Convention Centre

Karnataka Plans Mandapam, Tourism Policy and Convention Centre

Karnataka’s government wants to build a large venue called Karnataka Mandapam.

It would be similar to Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.

Officials are considering three possible locations near a metro station.

The government also wants more people to visit Karnataka’s beaches, hills, forests and heritage sites.

A new policy will support tourism projects in the coastal and Malnad regions.

Officials say nature and local culture must be protected while tourism grows.

They are also discussing a convention centre in Bengaluru and a very tall sky deck.

These projects are meant to bring more events, visitors and tourism activity to the state.
