Calcutta High Court Rejects Tulu Mondal’s Bail Plea

The Calcutta High Court refused to give Tulu Mondal protection from arrest.

He is a stone quarry trader from Birbhum.

Police found ₹28.5 crore and 15kg of gold at the home of his relative, Minar Mondal.

Investigators said Tulu was the owner of the money and gold.

Tulu’s lawyer said he had been falsely accused.

The lawyer also argued that police did not first send him a notice.

The state said Tulu had left the country and had not followed an earlier order to surrender.

The court rejected his requests and told him to surrender immediately.
