NCST Reviews Wanaparthy Tribal Issues, Orders Faster Official Action

The National Commission for Scheduled Tribes helps tribal communities solve problems with government departments.

NCST member Jatothu Hussain visited several tribal settlements in Wanaparthy district on Tuesday.

He asked residents about problems involving schools, hospitals, roads, land, and other services.

He said people should first complain to local officials or public grievance forums.

If the problem is not solved, they can use the ncstgrams portal to contact the Commission for free.

Officials found that some tribal schools and hostels lacked uniforms, toilets, and other facilities.

A health centre built at Karne Thanda still needed staff, equipment, and an ambulance service.

Authorities were also told to provide house numbers, improve roads and phone signals, and settle some land issues through joint surveys.

Hussain said officials who neglect their duties could face action.
