Accused in ASI Harjit Singh Murder Killed in Amritsar Encounter
Police said a man named Deepak Singh was involved in the killing of an assistant sub-inspector, Harjit Singh.
The killing happened near a grain market in Amritsar late Thursday or early Friday.
On Saturday night, police said they found two suspects riding a scooter.
Officers asked them to stop at a checkpoint.
