India Resumes Trade Talks

India and the United States are going to start talking about a trade deal again in January 2026.

They have been talking for nine months but haven't agreed on everything yet.

The talks stopped for the holidays.

The US wants to talk about farming, digital trade, and some other rules.

India thinks they are close to agreeing on a smaller deal that will help Indian companies sell things to the US more easily.

Meanwhile, India is also going to talk to Russia and Israel about new trade deals.

This is because the US has high taxes on Indian products, so India wants to sell to other countries too.

India and the Russia-led group EAEU will talk in February, and India and Israel will talk in January.

Both countries want to make deals, but it might take some more time.
