Sports Ministry Approves 320 Assistant Coaches for Olympic, Asian Games Medal Strategy
India's sports leaders have decided to hire 320 new coaches to help athletes get better at sports.
These coaches will work in 25 different sports at training centers across the country.
The goal is to help Indian athletes win more medals at big games like the Olympics and Asian Games.
They will focus on sports where India hasn't won much before but could potentially do well, like swimming and cycling.
The hiring process will be fair and only include coaches who are properly trained.
Importantly, half of the new coaches will be women to make sure sports are safe and equal for everyone.
This is just the first group of coaches, and more will be hired later.
Sports Ministry approves recruitment of 320 assistant coaches in 25 disciplines.
The initiative is part of a 'medal strategy' for upcoming Olympic and Asian Games.
Focus will be on disciplines like aquatics, cycling, and tennis with high medal potential.
Recruitment will be merit-based, transparent, and require certified/licensed coaches.
50% of the recruits will be women to promote gender equality and a safe sports environment.
