Parents of IIT Bombay Suicide Victims Demand Answers for Sahil

Parents of several students who died at IIT Bombay are protesting after Sahil Wakode’s death.

They want the institute and investigators to answer more questions.

Ramesh Solanki lost his son Darshan in 2023.

He said Darshan had spoken about caste discrimination, but this information was not included in the chargesheet.

Sunita and Sanjay Ambhore lost their son Aniket in 2014.

They said families still need better answers about counselling and student well-being.

They also worry that reserved-category students may face extra pressure.

The parents believe that working together could lead to changes at the institute.
