PJTGAU's Program Connects Scientists with Farmers
Imagine scientists going to visit farmers!
That's what PJTGAU is doing.
They're teaching farmers how to grow crops better, like using less fertilizer to save money and protect the soil.
They've met with thousands of farmers to share this information.
Farmers are worried about the weather and want help from the government, like insurance to protect their crops.
They also suggested getting tools and seeds at lower prices, and testing the soil before planting.
PJTGAU launched a 'Scientists at the Farmers’ Doorstep' program.
Direct contact meets held in 600 revenue villages.
About 37,000 farmers, including 6,000 women, participated.
Scientists focused on reducing urea use and preserving soil health.
Farmers are concerned about climate change and seek government support.
