Agartala Autorickshaws to Get Pink Markings for Regulatory Compliance
The government in Tripura is changing how autorickshaws work in the city of Agartala.
They will paint autorickshaws pink if they are allowed to drive in the city.
This will help to tell the difference between the ones that can drive in the city and the ones that cannot.
This rule is made to stop the autorickshaws from breaking the rules and to help with traffic.
If autorickshaws from outside the city need to come in, they need special permission.
Also, if people are using their private cars for business, they need to get a special license.
School buses also need to have proper licenses for safety reasons.
Tripura Transport Minister announced a color code for autorickshaws in Agartala.
Pink markings will be added to autorickshaws within the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) limits.
The color code aims to curb route permit violations and reduce traffic congestion.
Autorickshaws from outside the AMC are restricted unless for emergencies, requiring proper documentation.
