UP and Yamanashi to collaborate on green hydrogen
A group of important people from Yamanashi in Japan visited Uttar Pradesh in India to talk about working together on green hydrogen.
Green hydrogen is a clean type of energy that doesn't pollute the air.
The state of Uttar Pradesh promised to help with policies and infrastructure to make this happen.
Japan has special technology for making green hydrogen, and they want to share it with India.
Both places will work together on big events and projects to make green hydrogen better and more available.
This is important because it can help both countries use cleaner energy and maybe even make money from selling it to other places.
A high-level delegation from Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, visited Uttar Pradesh to explore cooperation in green hydrogen technologies.
Uttar Pradesh assured full assistance with policy support and infrastructure for clean energy initiatives.
Yamanashi University developed an advanced P2G hydrogen production system that can help scale up India's green hydrogen production.
Uttar Pradesh notified the UP Green Hydrogen Policy–2024, designating UPNEDA as the nodal agency for coordination and facilitation.
Japan has committed $68 billion in investments in India by 2035, with significant portions allocated to clean energy and hydrogen projects.
