Denmark Monitors Trump's Remarks with Night Watch
Denmark has started a special night watch team in its foreign ministry.
This team works from 5 PM to 7 AM to keep an eye on what US President Donald Trump says and does.
They make a report every morning and share it with important government people.
This started because of some arguments between Denmark and the US about Greenland.
Trump once said he wanted to control Greenland, but Denmark said no.
Now, Denmark wants to be ready for anything Trump might say, especially about Greenland.
A former Danish defense expert said that the US is not Denmark's most important ally anymore because Trump doesn't share the same values and ideas.
Denmark's foreign ministry has set up a night watch to monitor Trump's statements and activities from 5 PM to 7 AM daily.
The initiative was introduced following tensions over Greenland in 2019, when Trump threatened to take control of the Arctic island.
Trump has reiterated his interest in Greenland, saying the US welcomes it if Greenlanders choose to join.
Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen has stated that US annexation of Greenland won't happen, and the future of the region will be decided by the Greenlanders.
The night watch is part of Denmark's adjustment to the unpredictability of the second Trump administration, with a source confirming the importance of the time difference and Greenland situation in introducing this arrangement.
