IFCI Shares Surge as NSE IPO Hopes Intensify

IFCI Shares Surge as NSE IPO Hopes Intensify

IFCI is a company whose shares are traded on the stock market.

Its share price jumped by as much as 12% and reached a recent high.

Investors became interested because the National Stock Exchange, or NSE, may soon move forward with plans to sell shares to the public.

IFCI does not directly own NSE shares.

Instead, it owns more than half of Stock Holding Corporation of India, which owns more than 4% of NSE.

If NSE receives permission to proceed, that investment could appear more valuable.

SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey said approval of NSE’s draft prospectus may be close.

However, the timing and final value of the IPO are still uncertain.
