Indonesia Arrests 10 Myanmar Nationals After Liquid Meth Bust
Indonesia stopped a ship and found a very large amount of liquid methamphetamine.
Ten people from Myanmar were arrested.
The drugs were hidden in a water tank and eight large drums.
The ship was sailing under Tanzania’s flag.
Police and other agencies worked together on the operation.
Officials had been watching the ship after noticing that it often changed its identity.
They said the case may be connected to an earlier ketamine seizure.
Indonesia has very strict laws for serious drug crimes.
Indonesia arrested 10 Myanmar nationals after seizing 2.6 metric tons of liquid methamphetamine.
The drugs were found in a water tank and eight 200-litre drums aboard a Tanzanian-flagged ship.
Authorities intercepted the vessel on August 17 in the waters of Indonesia’s Riau Islands.
