Tesla Leases Mumbai Space, Prepares for India Market Entry
Tesla, the electric car company, is getting ready to sell its cars in India.
They've leased a big space in Mumbai for a showroom and warehouse.
This is part of their plan to open stores and start selling cars in India soon.
The new location will be used to sell cars, and possibly other products.
Tesla has already leased a space in Pune and one in Bengaluru, and plans to have a showroom in Delhi and Mumbai as well.
The Indian government wants more electric car companies to set up shop there, so it’s a good time for Tesla to come.
Tesla leased a 24,500+ sq ft space in Kurla West, Mumbai.
The new lease is for a showroom and warehousing facility.
The lease agreement is for five years.
Monthly rent starts at ₹37.53 lakh, with a 5% annual increase.
