Swayamkrushi Celebrates 35 Years Supporting Persons with Disabilities

Swayamkrushi is a non‑profit in Hyderabad that helps people with intellectual disabilities.

It started in 1991 and now has been helping for 35 years.

The organization runs a school, a hostel for girls, group homes, therapy rooms, and a college that teaches special education.

They give people skills to learn, work, and live on their own.

Ten women who learned at Swayamkrushi now work at a local store.

The founder, Manjula Kalyan, wants everyone with disabilities to feel proud and independent.
