Air India Begins Voluntary Drug Testing For All Pilots

Air India is testing all of its pilots for drugs.

The airline says it chose to do more testing than the rules require.

It says this is meant to support safety and professional standards.

The testing is still happening.

Air India asked people not to make claims before the results are confirmed.

Reports say two pilots had preliminary tests that did not pass.

Those pilots are not currently scheduled to fly while final results are checked.

The wider testing began after an incident involving a flight from Phuket to Delhi.
