Hashim Amla picks three batters for 2027 ODI World Cup
A famous cricket player named Hashim Amla told everyone which players he is most excited to watch at the next big cricket World Cup in 2027.
He picked three batters: Rohit Sharma from India, Dewald Brevis from South Africa, and Travis Head from Australia.
The 2027 World Cup will be played in three countries: South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
Amla said he loves watching Rohit Sharma because his strokes look so elegant.
He also called Dewald Brevis a very exciting young player.
Amla said Travis Head has been doing exceptionally well and plays beautifully.
Amla surprised many people by not choosing Virat Kohli, who is one of the greatest batters ever.
Kohli scored the most runs in the last World Cup, but Amla chose Rohit instead.
There is some question about whether Rohit will even play in the 2027 World Cup.
However, he scored a century in July 2026, which might help him keep his place on the team.
Hashim Amla named Rohit Sharma, Dewald Brevis and Travis Head as three players he wants to watch at the 2027 ICC Men's ODI World Cup.
The tournament is set to be played across 12 venues in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Amla's list includes one player each from India, South Africa and Australia, but no mention of Virat Kohli.
Kohli is the second-highest run-scorer in ODIs and Men's ODI World Cup history and won the Golden Bat at the 2023 ODI World Cup.
A report last month said Rohit might not be picked after the third match against England at Lord's, but he scored a century on July 19 to keep his ODI future alive.
