Telangana Issuing Smart Ration Cards Benefiting Over 1.05 Crore Families

Telangana state is getting new smart ration cards, which are like small plastic cards similar to bank cards.

More than 1.05 crore families in the state will get them.

A ration card is a card families use to get food items like rice, wheat, and sugar from the government.

The new card will have the person's photo and address on it.

It will also show pictures of two leaders, the Chief Minister and the Civil Supplies Minister.

The card has a special code called a QR code that stores family and ration information.

People can use their smartphones to get the card.

They need to download an app called T-Ration and register their details.

After registering, they will get a secret code on their phone to verify.

Then they can set a special PIN and see their ration card on the app.

With the app, people can view their ration items and swipe the QR code to get their benefits.

This is a new way to make getting ration items easier.
