CJP Protest Halted After Police Clashes
A protest by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) near Parliament was stopped after police used sticks to control the crowd.
The protesters say police hurt many people, including young girls and women.
Police say they only used force because some protesters threw stones.
The leader of the protest, Abhijeet Dipke, was taken away by the police.
The protest was about asking for the resignation of a minister and help for families who lost loved ones in a sad event.
The protest will continue, and the leader asked supporters to meet near Kerala Bhavan.
Earlier, protest leaders met a government minister to share their demands.
CJP's march to Parliament was called off after police lathi charge injured protesters.
Founder Abhijeet Dipke was detained near the Reserve Bank of India.
Police denied using excessive force, stating minimum force was used after stone-pelting.
At least 50 paramilitary personnel and 10 police officials were injured in the clashes.
