Fake ED, NIA Officials Cheat Karnataka Doctor in Digital Arrest
A retired doctor in Karnataka was tricked by people pretending to be government investigators.
The scammers first called his wife about a supposedly illegal package.
They then claimed to be officials from two central agencies.
They accused the doctor of being connected to the banned Popular Front of India.
The scammers said he was linked to an illegal fund.
They demanded money to supposedly clear his name.
The doctor eventually lost Rs 1.79 crore.
