US Deports Over 2,790 Indian Nationals for Illegal Stay in 2025
The Indian government shared that more than 2,790 people from India have been sent back to India from the United States this year.
This happened because they were living in the US without permission and didn't meet the rules.
Before sending them back, Indian officials checked to make sure they were really Indian citizens.
About 100 Indians were also sent back from the UK for similar reasons.
The government also noted that fewer Indians are trying to cross into the US illegally.
In the past year, about 34,000 Indians were caught trying to cross the border without permission, which is a big drop from the year before.
This shows that efforts to manage people coming into the US are working.
