Paraglider Survives 29,000-Foot Ascent in China
Imagine you're a kite, but instead of a string, you have a person.
That person, a paraglider in China, was swept up high into the sky by the wind!
The paraglider went way, way up, almost to where airplanes fly.
He didn't have extra oxygen and it was super cold.
He couldn't see and felt like he was spinning.
But, he had a compass and radio.
Even though he was scared and almost lost feeling in his hands, he used those tools to stay safe and in touch with his team.
In the end, he made it back down safely.
A Chinese paraglider was swept up to nearly 29,000 feet by strong winds.
The paraglider, Peng Yujiang, was testing a second-hand harness.
He experienced extreme cold, disorientation, and loss of feeling in his hands.
Peng used his compass and radio to stay in contact with his team.
