Indian startup TakeMe2Space plans orbital computing satellite launch on SpaceX
TakeMe2Space is an Indian company building a small satellite.
It calls the satellite MOI-1A.
The satellite is planned to launch on a SpaceX rocket on October 1.
It will ride along with other spacecraft on a Transporter-18 mission.
The satellite has special computer chips made by NVIDIA.
These computers will process information while the satellite is in space.
This could reduce the amount of raw information sent back to Earth.
The company says 23 customers will use the mission, including businesses and schools.
TakeMe2Space plans to launch its MOI-1A satellite on October 1.
The satellite is scheduled to fly on SpaceX’s Transporter-18 rideshare mission.
MOI-1A weighs under 50 kilograms and carries NVIDIA Orin NX processors.
The company says the satellite will process data in orbit instead of transmitting raw data to Earth.
TakeMe2Space says it has signed 23 customers, including companies and educational institutions.
