Ramanand Sagar Used Snakes to Control Naughty 'Luv-Kush' on Ramayan Set
Ramanand Sagar, the creator of the famous TV show Ramayan, had a clever way to handle the naughty behavior of the child actors who played Luv and Kush.
These boys, Swapnil Joshi and Mayuresh Kshetramade, were very mischievous off-screen.
Sagar used snakes to scare them into behaving.
He would lift the lid of a snake basket when they misbehaved, which made them fall in line.
This trick worked, and the boys would then perform well.
Sagar also shared another story where he pretended to thrash some men to scare the boys into cooperating.
These funny stories show how Sagar managed to keep the children in check while making the iconic show.
