Nifty Holds 26,000, Sensex Down 50 Points
On Monday, the Indian stock markets had a mixed day.
The Nifty 50 and Sensex, which are like big groups of important company stocks, closed a little lower.
But the Nifty Bank and smaller company stocks did better and closed higher.
A lot of people are selling stocks, and the rupee is not very strong, which makes things a bit uncertain.
However, some experts think that in the next few months, companies will make more money, which could help the market.
The top gainer was IndiGo, and the biggest loser was Mahindra & Mahindra.
Overall, the market is waiting for more clarity on big things like the India-US trade deal.
Nifty 50 closed 20 points lower at 26,027, Sensex fell 54 points to 85,213.
Nifty Bank rose 72 points to 59,462, mid-cap and small-cap indices also gained.
Persistent foreign fund outflows and weak rupee kept markets in a narrow range.
IndiGo was the top gainer in Nifty 50, Mahindra & Mahindra was the biggest loser.
Market momentum expected to be earnings-led, with clarity on India-US trade deal awaited.
