Joshi Resigns as Ram Temple Trust Patron Amid Donation Probe
Suresh "Bhaiyyaji" Joshi, a senior leader in the RSS, stepped down as the head of the trust that runs the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
He said he was doing it because of health problems.
The trust is also looking into missing money that was donated for building the temple.
Joshi had been a very important link between the RSS and the BJP party.
Another trust leader, Champat Rai, also left his job around the same time.
Lawmakers in Parliament have asked questions about how the trust handles money.
Suresh "Bhaiyyaji" Joshi, 78, resigned as Patron of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust citing health reasons.
The resignation occurs amid an investigation into missing donation funds for the Ram Temple construction.
Joshi had served as RSS General Secretary from 2009‑2021 and is seen as a key link between RSS and BJP.
The Trust also saw the recent departure of General Secretary Champat Rai, indicating a broader leadership reshuffle.
The matter has been raised in Parliament, with lawmakers from multiple parties questioning financial controls.
