Truecaller launches Scam Checker for suspicious links, numbers and messages
Truecaller has made a tool called Scam Checker.
It helps people investigate messages that might be scams.
A user can check a suspicious phone number.
They can also paste in a web link to look for phishing.
The tool can search reports from other users.
People can describe a suspicious message using ordinary words.
Truecaller says this brings the number, link and story in a scam message together.
It is available in India on Android and around the world on Truecaller’s website.
Truecaller launched Scam Checker on its website and Android app to assess suspicious phone numbers, links and messages.
The tool uses signals from Truecaller’s 500 million users to flag potential fraud.
Users can check links for phishing, search phone-number warnings, browse Scamfeed and describe suspicious messages in plain text.
The service is available in India on Android and worldwide through Truecaller’s website; iOS support is planned.
Truecaller reported identifying 68 billion spam and fraud calls in 2025.
