Pixar unveils first Incredibles 3 look ahead of 2028 release
A movie studio called Pixar has shown the first pictures of a new movie about a family of superheroes called the Parr family.
The superhero dad is Mr. Incredible and the superhero mom is Elastigirl, and they have three kids named Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack.
In this new movie, the kids will be the main heroes as they sneak out of the house at night to protect their city from danger.
Their parents will not know that the kids are doing superhero things.
The story starts right after the last movie, so the kids stay the same ages.
Many of the same actors who made the voices before will come back for this movie.
The movie is called Incredibles 3 and it will come out in theaters on June 16, 2028.
The story continues after superheroes became allowed to help people again at the end of the second movie.
The third movie will be the last one in the family's big adventure for now.
Pixar unveiled the first concept art for Incredibles 3 during Disney's D23 fan event, ahead of its theatrical release in 2028.
Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack will move into leading roles, sneaking out at night to protect the city while hiding their superhero activities from their parents.
Brad Bird has written all three Incredibles films, while Peter Sohn, director of The Good Dinosaur and Elemental, will direct the third film.
The film will not feature a time jump and continues from the end of Incredibles 2, after superheroes regained their legal status.
Incredibles 3 will hit theatres on June 16, 2028, with returning voice actors including Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Samuel L. Jackson and Huck Milner.
The sequel was first announced at Disney's D23 event in August 2024, with its release date confirmed in March 2026.
