Delhi Imposes Strict Anti-Pollution Measures
Delhi is taking strong steps to fight bad air.
Now, cars can't get fuel if they don't have a special pollution check certificate called PUC.
Also, old cars from outside Delhi can't come into the city.
The government says this will help clean the air.
But the people who run gas stations are worried.
They think it's hard to check every car's papers and make sure everyone follows the rule.
The air is very bad right now, so the government is doing this to help people breathe better.
They have put police and special teams at gas stations and city borders to make sure the rules are followed.
Offices must have half their workers stay home, and some schools are closed to protect kids from the bad air.
Delhi enforces 'No PUC, No Fuel' rule and bans non-BS-VI vehicles from outside the city to combat severe air pollution.
Fuel pumps use automatic number plate reader cameras and police support to enforce the PUC rule.
580 police personnel and 37 enforcement vans are deployed at 126 checkpoints, including borders.
The ban does not apply to CNG or electric vehicles, public transport, or vehicles carrying essential commodities.
Petrol pump operators express concerns over legal, technical, safety, and enforcement challenges.
