UAE Halts Iran Trade After Missile Escalation, Billions at Stake

The United Arab Emirates has stopped trading and conducting financial deals with Iran for now.

This includes buying and selling goods, commercial exchanges, and money-related transactions.

The UAE said it made this decision after tensions in the region increased.

It said it detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran.

Iran denied that it aimed missiles at the UAE.

The UAE said the suspension will continue until further notice.

The two countries normally trade a large amount of goods.

About $28 billion in yearly trade could be affected.
