Navi Mumbai: NMMC Unveils Shivaji Maharaj Statue Amidst MNS' Prior Claim
Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) finally unveiled the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue at Sector 1, Nerul.
However, this was controversial because MNS leader Amit Thackeray had already claimed to have inaugurated it earlier.
NMMC went ahead with their event, attended by many important people.
Some, like Thane MP Naresh Mhaske, thought this was unnecessary and disrespectful to Shivaji Maharaj.
