Police are investigating the death as an alleged suicide.

Police identified the student as Hemnath, also spelled Hemanth, a native of Andhra Pradesh.
He was a fifth-semester Computer Science and Engineering student specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Police said he had undergone several surgeries and was distressed about continuing health problems; no suicide note was found.
The death occurred six days after 19-year-old Alla Venkata Soubhagya Varshitha allegedly died after jumping from the university’s hostel building.
