Colombia President Petro Teases Trump Over Texas
Colombian President Gustavo Petro made some jokes about US President Donald Trump.
He said that Texas and other places in the southern US were 'invaded' and 'stolen' a long time ago.
He was making a point because Trump had said that Venezuela should give back things that were taken from US oil companies.
Petro said that if Trump can ask for things to be given back, then maybe the US should also give back the territories that were taken.
There was also some talk about oil and money that Venezuela owes to US companies.
It's all about who took what and who should give it back.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro teased US President Donald Trump over comments about Venezuelan oil and territorial claims.
Petro stated that Texas, California, and other southern US states were 'invaded' and 'stolen' territories.
Trump demanded that Venezuela return assets seized from US oil companies, citing illegal takings.
Petro suggested that if Trump can ask for the return of seized assets, the US should also return territories taken from Latin America.
Venezuela's oil exports have plummeted after recent seizures, with only Chevron-chartered tankers operating in the region.
