Stock Markets End Red as Crude Rebound Raises Inflation Concerns

Stock Markets End Red as Crude Rebound Raises Inflation Concerns

Stock markets are like giant shops where people buy and sell small pieces of companies, called shares.

When something scary happens, the prices of these pieces can go down.

Lately, the price of oil, which powers cars and planes, jumped up a lot.

That made many investors worried, because when oil is expensive, many other things become expensive too.

This is called inflation.

There were also worries about a busy waterway called the Strait of Hormuz and talks between the United States and Iran.

Because of these worries, the stock markets ended the day with lower prices, which people call 'ending in red.'

Some medicine companies and certain technology companies did a little better than others.

On the bright side, foreign investors are still putting money into the market, and companies are reporting good profits.

That helps stop the markets from falling too much, and investors are now waiting to see new inflation numbers in India and the United States.
