Gujarat's 'Epicentre' of Cow Slaughter Convictions: Life Sentence for Family of Three
In Gujarat, India, a family of three was sentenced to life in prison for killing a cow.
They were also fined a lot of money.
The government and some people are happy about this, but others think there might be wrong convictions and that the government should also help with stray cows on the streets.
Three members of a family in Amreli's Mota Khakivad locality were sentenced to life imprisonment for cow slaughter
The family includes brothers Kasim (20) and Akram (30), and their uncle Satar (52)
They were fined over Rs 18 lakh collectively, with each paying Rs 6.08 lakh
