Vessel Struck in Hormuz as Houthis Tighten Red Sea Control

A ship was hit by something while traveling through the Strait of Hormuz.

Officials do not yet know whether anyone was hurt or how much damage occurred.

Ships were told to be careful and report anything suspicious.

Iran and Oman are discussing new routes for ships using the strait.

In another part of the region, the Houthis reportedly captured the port of Mokha and nearby islands.

They also claimed attacks on a Saudi military base, and reports said two people were injured near the border.

Iran praised the Houthi advances, while Saudi Arabia reportedly sought stronger action against them.

BRICS countries called for countries to stop making the conflict worse and protect civilians.
