Ayodhya to get major cancer hub
The royal family of Ayodhya has given some of their land so that a big hospital for treating cancer can be built.
This hospital will be made by the Tata Group and the government of Uttar Pradesh.
The hospital will help people not just from Ayodhya but from nearby areas too.
The family is donating the land in memory of their father who was part of the royal family.
The hospital will start seeing patients in about two years.
There are also plans to make another big hospital and improve an existing one in Ayodhya.
The new cancer hospital will focus on treating mouth and throat cancers and will do research to find better treatments.
Ayodhya's erstwhile royal family donates 8 acres of land for a cancer treatment hub.
The project is a collaboration between Tata Group, Uttar Pradesh government, and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
The cancer treatment hub is part of a broader plan to develop Ayodhya as a healthcare hub.
Additional initiatives include setting up a 300-bed hospital and upgrading the existing Shri Ram Hospital.
The cancer treatment centre will function on a hub-and-spoke model, focusing on oral and throat cancers and research.
