Thousands Descend on India Gate, Kartavya Path for Independence Day

On Saturday, thousands of people went to India Gate to celebrate India's Independence Day.

It was the 80th time the country marked this special day.

Families with children, tourists, and young people all came to join the fun.

The lawns around the famous monument were full of families.

People took pictures and recorded videos all day long.

One visitor said Independence Day feels extra special when you are at India Gate.

Ice cream and toy sellers did great business, with kids crowding around their stalls.

Many people took the metro, making stations like Central Secretariat and Khan Market very busy.

The big crowd also made traffic on nearby roads move slowly.

Still, everyone enjoyed the festive atmosphere despite the crowds.
