Vikas Raj directs measures to avoid project delays
Vikas Raj, a high-ranking official in the Roads and Buildings Department, had a meeting to talk about a project that's running behind schedule.
He told the people in charge to make sure everyone involved in the project, like the engineers and workers, meets every week.
He also said they need to hire more people to help catch up.
Vikas Raj wants them to work together and follow a strict plan for submitting drawings so that materials and workers can be ready on time.
If the people in charge don't follow the plan, Vikas Raj said they should find someone else to do the job.
He also wants different teams to talk to each other to avoid problems later.
Vikas Raj instructed the consultant to ensure all sub-consultants attend weekly review meetings.
He directed the increase of technical staff and sub-consultants to make up for project delays.
The chief engineer was asked to consider engaging an independent engineering firm for technical solutions.
All parties were directed to work in close coordination to complete the project on time.
Drawings must be submitted at least two months in advance to plan procurement and labor mobilization.
