Madhya Pradesh Passes Labour Reform Bill
The Madhya Pradesh Assembly has passed a new law called the Madhya Pradesh Code on Empowering Work Spaces (Labour Power Code) Bill, 2026.
This law is designed to make things better for workers.
It stops bosses from making workers do things they don't want to do, like working extra hours without pay or keeping their important documents.
Workers can say no to working when they are not supposed to, and they can't be moved to a different job without their okay.
Women can work at night if they want to and if their boss makes sure it's safe.
The law also helps people who deliver food or drive cabs, making sure they have rights too.
The goal is to make sure everyone is treated fairly and can have a good balance between work and their personal life.
