Delhi Teachers Await Reimbursement for e-Tabs
Teachers in Delhi were told to buy tablets for teaching.
They were supposed to get their money back, but many haven't.
Some teachers bought tablets in 2018 and got their money back, but others who bought them in 2023 are still waiting.
The government said they would pay back within 15 days, but it's been much longer.
A lot of teachers are upset because they spent their own money and haven't been paid back yet.
Teachers in Delhi were instructed to buy e-tabs for teaching work and submit bills for reimbursement.
As of now, no teacher has been reimbursed for tablets purchased in 2023.
The scheme was initially launched in 2018, with reimbursements made at that time.
The Directorate of Education did not provide information on funds allocated for the 2023 tablet purchases.
Over 50,000 teachers purchased new tablets following the 2023 directive, but none have been reimbursed.
