Free Aadhaar Biometric Updates For Children Until September 30
Children's fingerprints and eye patterns change as they grow.
Because of this, their Aadhaar biometric information must be updated at certain ages.
Parents can currently get this update done for free until September 30.
The update includes fingerprints, an eye scan, and a new photograph.
Children under five usually do not need this biometric update.
Parents must book an appointment and take the child to an Aadhaar centre.
They should bring the child's Aadhaar details, their own Aadhaar card, and possibly a birth certificate or school ID.
The centre gives a receipt with a tracking number after collecting the information.
Parents can have their child's Aadhaar biometric details updated free of charge until September 30.
The update includes new fingerprints, an eye scan, and a photograph.
Children generally need biometric updates around ages five and 15 as they grow.
Parents must visit an Aadhaar centre because biometric capture cannot be completed online.
After the visit, parents receive a tracking receipt, and updates usually appear within a few days.
