Samant Accuses Sena UBT of Hypocrisy Over Hindi Language Policy
The current government is accusing the previous government, led by Uddhav Thackeray, of hypocrisy.
They say that the previous government approved a plan that required Hindi to be taught in schools.
Now, the current government says that the former government is protesting the same policy for political reasons.
They are claiming the previous government had no issue with it before, but are now opposing it to gain favor before upcoming elections.
Minister Uday Samant accused Shiv Sena (UBT) of double standards regarding Hindi language policy.
Samant stated the Uddhav Thackeray-led government approved the three-language policy in January 2022.
The policy mandates Marathi, English, and Hindi from Classes 1 to 12.
The decision was based on recommendations by the Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar Committee.
