Two Afghan asylum seekers sentenced for raping 15-year-old girl in UK
Two 17-year-old boys from Afghanistan, who were living in the UK as asylum seekers, were sentenced for a very serious crime.
They met a 15-year-old girl in a park and took her to a quiet spot where they hurt her.
The girl was very scared and asked for help.
A man saw her and told her to call the police.
The police used videos from the girl's phone and cameras to find the boys.
The boys said they were sorry and were sentenced to many years in a special prison for young people.
One of the boys might have to leave the UK, but the other might be able to stay.
Many people are upset about this crime, especially because it happened at a time when some people are not very nice to immigrants.
Two 17-year-old Afghan asylum seekers, Israr Niazal and Jan Jahanzeb, were sentenced for raping a 15-year-old girl in Leamington Spa, UK.
The attack occurred in May when the defendants befriended the victim and led her to a secluded area in the parkland.
Court footage from the victim's phone showed her visibly distressed and pleading for help.
The attackers were sentenced to 10 years and 8 months (Jahanzeb) and 9 years and 10 months (Niazal) in youth detention.
Jahanzeb faces deportation, while Niazal may remain in the UK due to the timing of his guilty plea.
