Unclaimed Mutual Fund Dividends Rise 15.7% to Rs 2,689 Crore

Imagine you put money in a special savings club called a mutual fund, and the club sometimes gives you a small money gift called a dividend.

Sometimes people forget to collect their money gift.

A big organization in India called SEBI watches over these funds to keep them safe.

SEBI wrote a report about money that people forgot to collect.

The report says people left behind dividends worth Rs 2,689 crore by the end of March 2026.

That is about 15.7 per cent more than the year before.

The year before, the forgotten dividend money was Rs 2,324 crore.

So the new forgotten money added up to Rs 365 crore.

Meanwhile, the money people forgot to collect from selling their fund units went down a little.

The report reminds investors to collect the money they are owed.
