Cement Slab Injures Passerby Along Mumbai Metro Line 9

Cement Slab Injures Passerby Along Mumbai Metro Line 9

A cement slab fell from a metro construction site in Kashimira on Sunday.

It hit a 23-year-old man named Shadab.

He was walking underneath the elevated metro track.

The injury to his head was serious.

People nearby said he lay beside the road for almost an hour.

Parked vehicles made him difficult for motorists to see.

He was eventually taken to Wockhardt Hospital in an autorickshaw.

This was reported as the third accident near Mumbai metro corridors in 10 days.

Metro Line 9 is partly open, while three more stations are expected to open by December.
