NSE IPO Grey Market Signals Potential Positive Debut

NSE IPO Grey Market Signals Potential Positive Debut

The National Stock Exchange may soon offer shares to the public through an IPO.

An IPO is a way for a company to sell shares to investors.

Before an IPO officially lists, its shares can sometimes be discussed or traded in an unofficial grey market.

NSE shares are reportedly showing a premium of about Rs 218 there.

This is nearly 12 per cent above the proposed top IPO price of Rs 1,785.

That premium suggests a possible first trading price of around Rs 2,000.

However, a grey market estimate is not a guarantee of the actual listing price.

Investors are watching the IPO closely because some large Indian IPOs recently had weak listing-day gains.
